Keeper and Dynasty League RankingsThese keeper and dynasty league rankings do not include this year's rookies since we don't know which team they'll play for yet, but we will update them in May after the draft to include them. 1. Tom Brady, QB, NE - Age 30Brady is the consensus #1 QB after his record breaking 2007 season. With Randy Moss returning, expect over 4,000 yards and 30 plus TD's, not just in 2008, but for years to come. 2. Peyton Manning, QB, IND - Age 32Manning may not be fantasy's #1 QB anymore, but he remains the most consistent performer year after year. Manning threw for 4,040 yards and 31 TD's in 2007, expect no less from Manning in the future with WR Reggie Wayne entering the prime of his career. 3. Tony Romo, QB, DAL - Age 28Romo was the #2 QB in fantasy football with an impressive 4,211 yards and 36 TD's last season. At just 27 years old, Romo appears poised to become one of fantasy's premier QB's for a long time. 4. Derek Anderson, QB, CLE - Age 25Fantasy's breakout player in 07 was rewarded with a 3 year $24 million contract this off-season. Anderson is surrounded with a plethora of talent in Kellen Winslow, Braylon Edwards, as well as new free agent acquisition Donte' Stallworth from New England. At age 24, Anderson's long-term value in keeper leagues will only continue to grow over time. 5. Carson Palmer, QB, CIN - Age 282007 was a disappointment with 4,131 yards, 26 TD's and a league high 20 INT's. Expect Palmer to rebound in 2008 and return to the form he showed in 05 and 06 in Cincinnati. Chad Johnson's controversial off-season comments and actions should only motivate Palmer to perform at a high level as the Bengals unquestioned leader in the future. 6. Ben Roethlisberger, QB, PIT - Age 26Roethlisberger had an excellent year in 07 (3,154 yards, 32 TD's). Big Ben is entering his prime, and has a strong supporting cast in Parker, Homes, and Ward. Big Ben will be a force for years to come. The addition of 1st round pick RB Mendenhall will provide Roethlisberger with a stronger running game in the future, which should translate to bigger plays downfield off of play-action. 7. Drew Brees, QB, NO - Age 29Since joining the Saints, Brees has been one of the top QB's in fantasy football. Brees' consistency makes him one of the surest bets at QB. Brees was 2nd in passing in 07 with 4,423 yards and 32 TD's. 8. Matt Leinart, QB, ARI - Age 25Leinart missed most of 07 with a broken collarbone; Arizona's offense is consistently one of the NFL's most explosive with stud WR's Fitz and Boldin, which bodes well for Leinart's future. Fantasy owners are hoping Leinart puts up the type of numbers Warner put up late last season, and as long as Fitzgerald, and Boldin stay healthy he should. 9. Philip Rivers, QB, SD - Age 26Rivers regressed somewhat in 07, but with an offense that includes LT, Gates, Chambers, and Jackson, Rivers should excel in the future. Rivers is a somewhat risky investment in my opinion, but a solid post-season bodes well for River's future heading into 2008 keeper league drafts. 10. Eli Manning, QB, NYG - Age 27Super Bowl MVP Eli finally put it all together in the playoffs last season. Hopefully, Manning carries that over into 2008 and beyond and doesn't regress to the QB we saw in the regular season (20 INT's). 11. Vince Young, QB, TEN - Age 25An amazing athlete, true. A pure accurate passer, no. Young is still developing and Alge Crumpler's addition helps his fantasy value. Young will be an excellent QB, but he's not there yet; a true keeper. 12. David Garrard, QB, JAX - Age 30In 07, Garrard established himself as the Jaguars leader and put up solid numbers as well (2,509 yards, 18 TD's and just 3 INT's). No QB improved their fantasy value as much as Garrard did last season especially with his strong play in the post-season. 13. Matt Ryan, QB, ATL - Age 23Ryan selected #3 overall by Atlanta should be the first rookie QB taken in 2008 drafts due to his promising future with the Falcons. Ryan has a strong supporting cast that includes RB Michael Turner as well as a star WR in Roddy White. Expect big things from Ryan if he plays up to his potential in the future for Atlanta. 14. Jay Cutler, QB, DEN - Age 25Cutler is loaded with potential and put up good #s in 07 (3,497 yards and 20 TD's). WR Brandon Marshall has stud written all over him; and Cutler should surpass 3,500 yards and 25 TD's in 08. 15. Matt Schaub, QB, HOU - Age 27Schaub was impressive (when he was healthy in 07), and is an excellent sleeper candidate in 2008. If Houston can protect Schaub, he and Pro Bowl WR Andre Johnson should put up excellent #s for years to come. 16. Matt Hasselbeck, QB, SEA - Age 32Would be ranked a lot higher, but his age (32), the loss of DJ Hackett to Carolina, and Deion Branch's uncertain future hurt his keeper value. The additions of Jones and Duckett will also limit pass attempts. 17. Donovan McNabb, QB, PHI - Age 32McNabb is still capable of putting up excellent fantasy numbers; McNabb had 3,324 yards and 19 TD's in 07. McNabb just can't stay healthy which significantly damages his keeper value. 18. Aaron Rodgers, QB, GB - Age 24Rodgers will be handed the keys to one of the NFL's most explosive young talented offenses, following Brett Favre's retirement. Rodgers should put up 18-20 TD's but isn't worth keeping until he shows something on the field in 2008. Rodgers is worth a pick as a long-term investment, who you shouldn't expect an instant fantasy impact right away. 19. Joe Flacco, QB, BAL - Age 23Baltimore selected Joe Flacco 18th overall this past April, and with incumbents Kyle Boller, and Troy Smith ahead of him on the depth chart, expect Flacco to get a shot at the starting job in 2008. Flacco is a decent selection in the later rounds of all keeper leagues because his value could increase significantly if he succeeds in the starting role for the Ravens next season. 20. Jason Campbell, QB, WAS - Age 26Campbell showed flashes of potential throughout 2007, but was overshadowed by Todd Collins late in the season. The fact that Collins was more successful than Campbell hurts his value somewhat, but Campbell is worth taking a flier on in the later rounds because he still has loads of potential at age 26. |
