Keeper and Dynasty League Rankings

QB RB WR TE K DEF IDPWho Not to Keep

1. Drew Brees, QB, NO - Age 30

No reason to believe the Saints offensive juggernaut will slow down anytime soon, especially with Brees at the helm. Numbers could even go up with full seasons from Colston and Bush.

2. Tom Brady, QB, NE - Age 31

Clearly we want to see how the knee holds up in training camp, but all signs are good and the Pats offense remains beastly. The Golden Boy is getting older, but the talent is not fading away.

3. Matt Ryan, QB, ATL - Age 24

Perhaps a bit early to put Ryan this high, but his rookie campaign was just that good. Adding Gonzalez will help the '09 stats and grow the young QB's confidence for the long haul.
The Packers took a step back last year, but their future looks bright after Rodgers posted big numbers in his first starting season. With young skill players around, expect more of the same.
Breakout season for Rivers, who posted 34 touchdowns and went over 4,000 yards for the first time. Strong armed and strong willed, no reason to expect a slow down as he enters his prime.
Production has dipped, but the Colts offense and Manning's production should see a bump up with a healthy start to the season. Besides, he's Peyton freeking Manning. Nuff said.

7. Jay Cutler, QB, CHI - Age 26

No doubt the trade to the Windy City hurts the strong armed Cutler's immediate value and the Bears must improve their depth at receiver, but he could form a devastating combo with Matt Forte.

8. Tony Romo, QB, DAL - Age 29

With TO gone, we will now see if the trouble making receiver made the QB or held him back. Romo can be a devastating fantasy option and should stay that way if he turns Roy Williams into a weekly star.
Another Super Bowl win for Big Ben, who is more productive on the field than as a fantasy weapon. He has thrown more than 19 TD's only once as a pro, but he'll be in the lineup for years to come.

10. Eli Manning, QB, NYG - Age 28

The Giants enter the season as a Super Bowl favorite, but the loss of Plaxico Burress remains an issue. Manning will be a solid fantasy QB, but needs a top tier receiver to move up this list.
Last year was a resurgent one for McNabb, throwing for career-high yardage. With an improved offensive line and the addition of Jeremy Maclin, McNabb is in line for another fantasy studly season.

12. Matt Schaub, QB, HOU - Age 28

The Texans offense is looking like the next great attack with Schaub at the helm. Injuries are his biggest concern, but throwing to the beastly Andre Johnson makes up for that.
When healthy, Palmer is still a top-8 fantasy QB, but the red cross shows up next to his name just a little too often. If the Bengals keep him up right, Palmer should get back to his productive ways.

14. Matt Cassel, QB, KC - Age 27

Is Cassel the real deal or a product of the Pats system? The jury is still out and losing Gonzalez hurts Cassel's short-term value, but he has Dwayne Bowe and a very long leash.

15. Kurt Warner, QB, ARI - Age 38

Obviously Warner is not a long-term option, but his short term value with in this offense is sky high. Dynasty league players would be wise to have Matt Leinart as well
Injuries crushed his '08 season, but Hasselbeck is healthy and now finally gets a high end receiving option in T.J. Houshmandzadeh. Expect 2-3 more years of quality fantasy production.

17. Kyle Orton, QB, DEN - Age 26

Orton has an impressive win-loss record and now gets to play with some actual viable receivers in the potentially pass-happy Broncos passing attack.
Say what you want for Terrell Owens, but he sure can produce. If Edwards can survive the downside of the TO experience, he and the rest of the Bills offense could be a fantasy surprise

19. Joe Flacco, QB, BAL - Age 24

Ignore his rookie statistics because the measure of Flacco's future stems from his stellar arm strength, combined with a veteran's composure. Needs more receiver help, but plays in great organization.

20. Mark Sanchez, QB, NYJ - Age 22

Truly a dynasty pick as Sanchez may not see much action in his rookie campaign. Ultimately might be more of a game manager than a gunslinger, but being put into a strong situation.
