2013 FFToolbox Staff Mock Draft #1

Draft took place June 18th, 2013

Scoring System: PPR, 12 team
Using FFWC Rules

Ovr Pick Franchise Selection Pos. Team Age Exp.
151 13.07 FFToolbox - Cindie Crain Aaron Dobson WR NE 22 R
As stated above, with the issues surrounding Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Dobson could see significant playing time in 2013. With no Wes Welker, Deion Branch or Danny Woodhead, Dobson could be a steal here in round 13.
152 13.08 FFToolbox - Brian Murphy @Mo_12_Sanu Mohamed Sanu WR CIN 24 1
Mohamed Sanu's time in the sun was short-lived last year as he didn't catch a pass until Week 7, scored four times in a three-week span, then found himself on injured reserve by early December because of a broken foot. Let's see if he can pick up where he left off. I think Sanu will begin the year as the Bengals' second wide receiver, and that WR across the formation from A.J. Green will see a lot of single coverage.
153 13.09 FFToolbox - Chris Weeks @Str8UpGlittle Greg Little WR CLE 24 2
154 13.10 FFToolbox - Scott Atkins @andydalton14 Andy Dalton QB CIN 26 2
155 13.11 FFToolbox - Rob Warner @MikelLeShoure25 Mikel Leshoure RB DET 24 2
After missing his entire rookie season, Leshoure finished his second season with 9 TDs but a less than impressive 3.7 YPC. The addition of Reggie Bush and presence of Joique Bell is concerning but with Bush's injury rish -- Leshoure has a solid chance of garnering a few starts for the high powered Lion attack.
156 13.12 FFToolbox - Ian Ritchie @JoiqueBell Joique Bell RB DET 27 3
157 14.01 FFToolbox - Ian Ritchie @LaMichaelJames LaMichael James RB SF 24 1
158 14.02 FFToolbox - Rob Warner @brianhartline Brian Hartline WR MIA 27 4
In 2012, Hartline set career highs in catches (74) and yards (1,083) but only managed one touchdown. He parlayed his career season into a 5 year contract extension but will now be fighting for receptions with the new additions Mike Wallace, Brandon Gibson and Dustin Keller. Despite the more mouths to feed, Hartline should provide solid WR3/4 numbers.
159 14.03 FFToolbox - Scott Atkins Seattle Defense Def SEA
160 14.04 FFToolbox - Chris Weeks @ToneTime10 Santonio Holmes WR --- 30 7
161 14.05 FFToolbox - Brian Murphy @jacoby_jones12 Jacoby Jones WR BAL 29 6
The battle to be the Ravens' No. 2 WR will persist through training camp. I have no idea if Jones will earn the gig, but he has the most experience among the group, and he was making plays all over the field when we last saw him play. I'll take any possible Week 1 starter in the 14th round of a draft.
162 14.06 FFToolbox - Cindie Crain Sam Bradford QB STL 26 3
I needed a backup QB who was on a different bye week than Andrew Luck. Sam Bradford should improve this year now that St. Louis has upgraded the offensive line and has added weapons in their offense.
163 14.07 Fantasytaz - Jim Day Keenan Allen WR SD 21 R
Allen is a pure upside pick here. Love his talent and Rivers continues to look for another receiver he can count on. I think Allen might be that guy even in his rookie season. I like his upside as my WR5.Hopefully he will stop wearing Raiders hats...
164 14.08 DLF.com - TheFFGhost San Fran Defense Def SF
165 14.09 FFToolbox - George Bissell @davonebess Davone Bess WR --- 28 5
166 14.10 FFToolbox - Jamie Blackburn @dextermccluster Dexter McCluster WR TEN 25 3
Andy Reid should do good things with this offense. He'll lean on Charles a lot, but I can also see him getting better production out of McCluster than Crennel did. Another "joker" type of offensive player, lining up all over the place, similar to Sproles and perhaps Denard Robinson. As you can tell, I like players like that. Especially if they are fast home run threats every time they touch the ball.
167 14.11 FFToolbox - Ben Standig @mrblloyd Brandon Lloyd WR SF 32 10
Pick made based on My Draft Queue
168 14.12 FFToolbox - Jeb Gorham @CobyFleener Coby Fleener TE IND 25 1
Fleener's target and receptions dwindled as the season progressed last year. I grabbed him as my second TE as I think he has potential and I missed out on Martellus Bennett.
169 15.01 FFToolbox - Jeb Gorham @Jon__Baldwin Jon Baldwin WR SF 24 2
I think the addition of Alex Smith in KC boosts Baldwin's value significantly. Smith will be looking to build chemistry with his new wide outs and I believe he an Baldwin will hit it off. Baldwin could be worth it in rounds 15-20 in your drafts.
170 15.02 FFToolbox - Ben Standig @EIGHTTODANINE Santana Moss WR WAS 34 12
Pick made based on My Draft Queue
171 15.03 FFToolbox - Jamie Blackburn Shonn Greene RB TEN 28 4
what a boring plodder. but, it made sense to handcuff my RB1 here, especially since I like the Titan's OL so much. I could see Greene getting some goal line touches, so perhaps he has some flex potential if I get in a pinch one week.
172 15.04 FFToolbox - George Bissell @Edelman11 Julian Edelman WR NE 27 4
173 15.05 DLF.com - TheFFGhost @HankTime85 Leonard Hankerson WR WAS 25 2
Pick made based on My Draft Queue
174 15.06 Fantasytaz - Jim Day @LataviusM Latavius Murray RB OAK 23 R
At this point in the draft upside is key, and Murray is another I think has some upside. He is a big back who runs very well. He ran a 4.38 40 at his pro day. With McFadden in front of him he should get some chances to play since McFadden can't stay on the field for a full season.
175 15.07 FFToolbox - Cindie Crain Heath Miller TE PIT 31 8
There wasn't a lot left here at the TE position for my backup. I am banking on Heath Miller to return to his previous form. When healthy, he is a top target for Ben Roethisberger.
176 15.08 FFToolbox - Brian Murphy @Jay_wright4 Jarius Wright WR MIN 24 1
More WR depth. Wright registered some decent stat lines after Percy Harvin's 2012 season ended in Week 9. He is a big-play threat, but also showed that he can be possession wideout at times, which is great for a PPR league. However, Jerome Simpson is still listed as the Vikings' second starting wideout, and first-round rookie Cordarrelle Patterson will probably start the year as the No. 3. Again, Wright probably needs an injury to befall someone in front of him on the depth chart to hold noticeable fantasy value.
177 15.09 FFToolbox - Chris Weeks @JGresham84 Jermaine Gresham TE CIN 25 3
178 15.10 FFToolbox - Scott Atkins Mike Gillislee RB MIA 23 R
179 15.11 FFToolbox - Rob Warner @TeamFlacco Joe Flacco QB BAL 29 5
Flacco's stats over Baltimore's final eight games: 138-of-231 passing (60 percent) for 1,919 yards (8.31 YPA), 18 touchdowns, and two INTS. He finished the season as the Super Bowl MVP and parlayed his production in a $121 million contract. The loss of Boldin could hurt slightly but Torrey Smith , Dennis Pitta and solid receiving skills of Ray Rice make me Wacco for Flacco as a solid QB2.
180 15.12 FFToolbox - Ian Ritchie @Nate13Burleson Nate Burleson WR CLE 32 10
181 16.01 FFToolbox - Ian Ritchie @ShowtimeTate Golden Tate WR DET 25 3
182 16.02 FFToolbox - Rob Warner @michaelbush29 Michael Bush RB --- 29 6
Solid Bye week filler in deeper leagues as he should remain the goal line back in Chicago. The Louisville alum scored five touchdowns last season but averaged just 3.6 yards. He's one of the top 10 RB handcuffs to own but his production in Chicago tailed off after his time in Oakland. Bush had 37 catches in 2012 but just 9 catches in his first season as Forte's backup.
183 16.03 FFToolbox - Scott Atkins @Dallen83 Dwayne Allen TE IND 24 1
184 16.04 FFToolbox - Chris Weeks Jay Cutler QB CHI 30 7
Pick made based on My Draft Queue
185 16.05 FFToolbox - Brian Murphy Daniel Thomas RB MIA 26 2
I chose Thomas for no other reason than to handcuff Lamar Miller. That is, if Thomas is Miller's handcuff when the season begins. Mike Gillislee has been getting a lot of press. It's clear to me that RB is my weakest position. If I was playing the season out with this team, I would make an RB trade top priority.
186 16.06 FFToolbox - Cindie Crain Denver Defense Def DEN
187 16.07 Fantasytaz - Jim Day @rodstreater80 Rod Streater WR OAK 26 1
While I do not expect a ton from the Oakland offense this year, especially if Matt Flynn wins the starting QB job, I find it funny that I took 2 Raiders in a row. That being said Streater played much better than most expected last year and now with DHB gone he may even get more chances in 2013. Since I expect Oakland to be behind most games, garbage time will once again be the key phrase when it comes to Streater.
188 16.08 DLF.com - TheFFGhost @ryantannehill1 Ryan Tannehill QB MIA 25 1
Tannehill could be a very sneaky pick when this season is all said and done. He will be at the controls of a revamped and suddenly potent offensive unit in Miami. He may be a bye weak filler but if Brady does falter I think Tannehill will keep me competitive.
189 16.09 FFToolbox - George Bissell Sebastian Janikowski PK OAK 36 13
Pick made based on My Draft Queue
190 16.10 FFToolbox - Jamie Blackburn @JKerley_11 Jeremy Kerley WR NYJ 25 2
Makes me a little nauseous to draft Jets this season, but Kerley had some productive stretches last year, and with Holmes ailing and Hill dropping everything that comes his way, I could see Kerley having some depth PPR value this season. And hey, if not, at some point, I'll need to find players to drop for Waiver Wire additions.
191 16.11 FFToolbox - Ben Standig Chicago Defense Def CHI
192 16.12 FFToolbox - Jeb Gorham Alex Smith QB KC 29 8
I drafted Smith to back-up Peyton Manning on my roster. Smith's new O-line in KC is questionable, but there is offensive talent with Charles running the ball and the wideouts if all gores well. Smith could prove valuable down the stretch.
193 17.01 FFToolbox - Jeb Gorham Houston Defense Def HOU
194 17.02 FFToolbox - Ben Standig @royhelujr29 Roy Helu RB WAS 25 2
195 17.03 FFToolbox - Jamie Blackburn New England Defense Def NE
196 17.04 FFToolbox - George Bissell @MarcusLattimore Marcus Lattimore RB SF 22 R
Pick made based on My Draft Queue
197 17.05 DLF.com - TheFFGhost @17AJJenkins A.J. Jenkins WR KC 23 1
With Crabtree out for most (or all) of the season Jenkins looks to be in-line, or at least in strong competition, for his spot. A possible WR2-WR3 in the 17th is nothing to sneeze at.
198 17.06 Fantasytaz - Jim Day @ceeflashpee84 Cordarrelle Patterson WR MIN 23 R
With such a deep roster I was surprised to find Patterson still available this late. He is still a very raw receiver but with Percy Harvin gone and Greg Jennings not as good as he once was, Patterson should have several big games and could ultimately surprise everyone with his playmaking ability.
199 17.07 FFToolbox - Cindie Crain Bilal Powell RB NYJ 25 2
I can't imagine Chris Ivory playing a full season without an injury. Bilal Powell knows the offense and would be the starter in New York if Ivory finds himself on the injury report.
200 17.08 FFToolbox - Brian Murphy @YoungBabyHawk Andrew Hawkins WR CLE 28 2
I don't know why I appear to be all-in on the Bengals' secondary wide receivers, but here we are. If Mohamed Sanu can't break through, how about speedy slot man Hawkins? Trust me: One of those two players is going to create sizable fantasy value this year.
