2014 Dynasty League Rankings

My Dynasty rankings are predicated on a three year window. To project six seasons long term is unrealistic and not feasible considering the flux of free agency and the injury impact of the NFL. Along with different Dynasty league formatting. I factor individual talent, supporting cast, system, injury history/character concerns, and perceived value in the eyes of Dynasty players.

He's getting old and that's a concern, but he's in a tier of his own from a scoring potential standpoint and that has a lot of value. Longevity-wise, there are better options. - Trade Value 5 Stars

2. Dez Bryant, WR, DAL - Age 25

You can make a case for several different players here. Bryant is a great talent in the prime of his career with lots of shelf life remaining. I'll take him. - Trade Value 5 Stars
Imposing athlete who's virtually impossible to stop. How much will the eventual departure of Manning impact his stats? - Trade Value 5 Stars
Julio was becoming a real force this year before his injury. Assuming he makes a full recovery and stays healthy, he should be a frontline player for many years. - Trade Value 5 Stars

5. A.J. Green, WR, CIN - Age 25

You could take him as high as WR2 or as low as here. Great young player. I get the feeling that we haven't seen his best season yet. - Trade Value 5 Stars
If not for his character issues, he'd be a contender for a top 5 spot. As it is, there's minimal incentive to take him that high when there are comparable players without the threat of suspension hanging over their heads. - Trade Value 5 Stars
I don't have quite as much faith in his ability as my top 6, but he seems headed for stardom. - Trade Value 4.5 Stars
Great player who produces like clockwork every season. At 30 years old, he may not have a huge remaining shelf life, meaning some of the younger candidates will be better fits for rebuilding teams. - Trade Value 4.5 Stars
Young and talented in a great situation. If he can stay healthy, he should be a fixture in FF lineups for years to come. - Trade Value 4.5 Stars

10. Percy Harvin, WR, SEA - Age 26

Harvin has some durability issues that prevent him from being ranked a little higher. When in the lineup, few players in the league can match his playmaking ability. - Trade Value 4.5 Stars
Bounced back in a huge way after a quiet 2012. I don't think he can sustain his 2013 numbers in the long haul, but he should give you an edge as your #2 FF WR. - Trade Value 4.5 Stars

12. Victor Cruz, WR, NYG - Age 27

Production has tailed off somewhat after a dominant 2011. Seems like more of a #2 receiver in FF leagues than a bona fide top 10 guy. - Trade Value 4 Stars

13. Keenan Allen, WR, SD - Age 22

Tremendous rookie year. Might never dominate, but could have a Hines Ward/Marques Colston type of career. - Trade Value 4.5 Stars
Now that he's seemingly recovered from the Achilles injury, he should be in line for more high reception 1000+ yard seasons. - Trade Value 4 Stars

15. Jordy Nelson, WR, GB - Age 29

Should have a couple very strong years left as a big piece of the Green Bay passing game. - Trade Value 4.5 Stars
Massive breakout potential. A rare height/weight/speed athlete with compelling upside. Given that he's priced near a top 10 WR by many of his owners, there isn't a great profit margin if you buy him at his market price. - Trade Value 4.5 Stars
He's a great player and he seems like a good candidate to remain productive into his mid 30s, but his numbers have tailed off over the last couple seasons. - Trade Value 2.5 Stars
Improved significantly after a solid rookie season, topping the 1000 yard barrier for the first time. Expect more of the same moving forward. - Trade Value 4 Stars
Offers a short window of very nice numbers followed by a sharp decline. - Trade Value 3.5 Stars
Great player on the backslope of his prime. How much are 1-2 really good seasons worth your team? - Trade Value 2.5 Stars
Inconsistent in the possession game and built rail thin with durability question marks, but when he's on the field he can make a difference with game-changing big plays. - Trade Value 2.5 Stars
It basically comes down to whether or not he can stay out of trouble. If he stays clean, he will be a great player to have for years. If he gets in trouble again, he'll be nearly worthless. There's no real middle ground. I put a big premium on players with a high ppg ceiling, so despite his risk I'd rather have him than most of the safer options with less talent. - Trade Value 4 Stars
A high floor, low ceiling reception machine. If he can mix in more big plays, his value could really balloon. As things stand now he looks like more of a depth player than a match-winner. - Trade Value 3.5 Stars
Gritty possession receiver who had a solid rookie season. Lack of speed and explosiveness may limit his long term upside. He will have a long career though. - Trade Value 4 Stars

25. T.Y. Hilton, WR, IND - Age 24

Young and explosive. Upside is questionable, but he's a good complementary FF player to have on your roster. - Trade Value 4 Stars
