Week 6: Bargain Hunter
WR Jordan Norwood, CLE
Sifting through the pedestrian options still out there on the wavier wire you will find Cleveland Browns fourth-year wide receiver Jordan Norwood, who is finally making an impact thanks to a slew of injuries at the wide receiver position in Cleveland. Norwood reeled in a career-high nine passes for 81 yards on nine targets in Week 5 and with rookie Josh Gordon (2 catches for 82 yards and a pair of touchdowns) making plays on the other side; the Browns offense under rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden is showing signs of life.
With veteran Mohammed Massaquoi sidelined due to injuries and the phasing out of Greg Little, Norwood has a chance to be a reliable fantasy contributor the rest of the season based on the sheer number of targets alone. For salary cap owners, Norwood represents a major bargain, valued at just $5.05 in Yahoo! Salary Cap leagues entering Week 6. It is also worth noting that Gordon is valued at $7.36 and his big-play ability makes him another attractive bargain pickup.
Injury Status: Injured ReserveTE Heath Miller, PIT
Pittsburgh Steelers veteran tight end Heath Miller has been productive with 19 receptions for 170 yards and four touchdowns this season. He should be the beneficiary of a tasty Week 6 matchup against the Tennessee Titans, who have allowed the most fantasy points per game this season to opposing tight ends (18.1).
Valued at $9.21 in Yahoo! Salary Cap formats (which makes him the 11th most expensive tight end), Miller isn't a true under the radar bargain. The combination of an extremely favorable matchup and Miller's propensity for finding the end zone this season make him a must own in Week 6 for salary cap owners.
