Week 7: Sleepers of the Week
WR Brandon Gibson, MIA
Brandon Gibson and the St. Louis Rams return home to face the Green Bay Packers in week seven. Gibson is coming off his highest yardage output of the season, catching seven passes for 91 yards against the Miami Dolphins. Gibson seemed to be benefitted by the absence of Danny Amendola, who will be missing an extended period of time with a collarbone injury. The fourth year wide receiver has shown flashes in his career, but has been unable to be consistent enough to be a good fantasy player. This may be Gibson's last chance to prove that he is worth a fantasy roster spot, and I would recommend picking him up off the waiver wire in your league if you are desperate for a WR 3 this week, especially in point per reception leagues. Fantasy owners can start Brandon Gibson this week and can expect at least five receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown.
WR Jeremy Kerley, NYJ
Jeremy Kerley and the New York Jets travel to New England for a key AFC East match-up with the Patriots in week seven. Kerley is coming off a down game in which he caught just three passes for 24 yards in a blowout win against the Indianapolis Colts. The Jets jumped out to an early lead in the game, meaning that the passing game was not needed as much as it will be this week against the Patriots. The Patriots will be able to score against the Jets, and Mark Sanchez and the Jets passing game will need to make plays to keep the game close. The Jets will look to use Kerley's speed and athleticism this week, making him a good WR 3 or Flex play for desperate fantasy owners. Fantasy owners can start Jeremy Kerley this week and can expect 75 yards and a touchdown.
