Week 7: Start 'Em

After some up and down seasons playing for the Rams and missing all of 2010 due to injury, Donnie Avery is on his way to his first complete season. While Reggie Wayne will continue to be the man making the big plays, he will also be the man getting most of the defenses' attention, leaving lots of room for Avery to make plays and put up fantasy points. This week the Colts have a great match up vs. the Cleveland Browns, who are giving up the 3rd most passing yards per game at 294. If you're looking for help at WR3 or flex spot this week, Avery might just be your guy.

Martellus started out his first season with the NY Giants like a man possessed. Over his first three games he caught 15 passes for 185 yards and 3 touchdowns. Over his next three games, he only had 5 receptions for 41 yards and no touchdowns. One of the main reasons for his drop in production is he was banged up 2 weeks ago in the game vs. the Browns. Despite being injured, Bennett missed only a few plays and was able to play in the next game. Look for Bennett to get back on track this week as he faces the Redskins, who are giving up the most yards per game through the air (323 passing yards per game) and have had a very tough time covering TEs the last few weeks, getting torched by Tony Gonzalez two weeks ago and again last week having trouble dealing with Kyle Rudolph. Time to get Bennett back in the lineup this week.

Jeff's additional Start 'em picks are

  • QB Jay Cutler, CHI vs. DET
  • RB Alex Green, GB @STL
  • RB Vick Ballard, IND vs. CLE
  • WR Kenny Britt, TEN @BUF
  • TE Dennis Pitta, BAL @HOU
