Week 8: Game Time Decisions - Injury Update
WR Dez Bryant, DAL
Bryant entered week 7 dealing with a minor groin injury and was forced from the game against Carolina after sustaining a head injury on a kick return. He finished the week 7 game with just 2 catches for 14 yards, but is expected to play in the crucial divisional battle with the Giants in week 8. Rostering Kevin Ogletree is advisable in case Bryant suffers a setback later in the week as the Giants' 21st ranked pass defense is allowing 253 YPG and should provide Tony Romo with a solid chance at a multiple TD week.
TE Jimmy Graham, NO
The 3rd year TE suffered an ankle injury in the week 5 game against San Diego. The Saints had a bye in week 6, but Graham was unable to play in the week 7 win over Tampa. Through 5 games he's averaging 50 YPG and has 3 touchdowns (not what fantasy owners were expecting when they used an early round pick). Backups Dave Thomas and Daniel Graham are not worth adding, but Graham's absence has boosted the value of the Saints WRs corps keeping Devery Henderson relevant. Graham returned for a limited Wednesday practice and appears to have a solid chance of returning when the Saints travel to Mile High for Sunday night football. Denver's 10th ranked pass defense (215 YPG) is allowing the 5th most fantasy PPG to opposing TEs (average of 57 YPG and 5 TDs on the season).
