After putting up respectible fantasy numbers against the Cowboys and Bears, Brandon's performance last Sunday against Denver left a bit to be desired. The third year man out of LSU finished last Sunday's game with just 4 receptions on 8 targets for a meager 29 yards. From a fantasy perspective, numbers like that can ruin your weekend. This should not be the case this coming Sunday when the Panthers host Tampa Bay. When these teams squared off in week one Panthers quarterback Cam Newton threw for 302 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. That touchdown went to Brandon, who finished the game with 3 receptions on 5 targets for 65 yards. The Bucs secondary has not improved since week 1, so there's no reason to believe Lafell can't post similar or better numbers this week. Brandon is still available in over half of fantasy leagues and he could be a nice bye week filler this weekend.

Owners looking for a bye week filler with starting potential should look into acquiring Brandon Myers. This is of course pending the results of Myers' concussion test due out later this week. If Myers is able to return to action this weekend he would be a nice start for fantasy owners. After taking a beating in Baltimore last weekend, Oakland returns home to face the New Orleans Saints. This game could easily be a high scoring affair with a Saints secondary ranked 31st in the league, allowing 307 yards and over 2 passing touchdowns per game. As the Raiders attempt to keep pace with the Saints offense, they'll be forced once again to air it out which means Myers could be in for a respectible fantasy game.

Favorite Team: New York J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets! One day they'll win another one. Lets just hope the drought isn't as long as for us Jets fans as it was for those Red Sox fans.

I've been a fantasy football nut for over 15 years. Whether defending my title, as is the case most years, or making my move to take back my championship trophy, I can't wait for each season to begin.
