One of the biggest disappointments of the fantasy season has been Hakeem Nicks. Fantasy owners were banking on Nicks putting up a big season in a contract year, but he has not been starter material all year long -- not finding the endzone yet this season. Eli Manning has clearly lost confidence in the two time 1000 yard wide receiver, making it tough for fantasy owners to justify him as a starter. Fantasy owners may be tempted to give Nicks one more shot against the league's 28th ranked pass defense, but this would be a mistake. Nicks is just not a trustworthy play, especially now that the fantasy playoffs have started in many leagues.

Hot for several weeks, rookie tight end Jordan Reed burned owners in Week 13 with a late scratch to his lingering concussion symptoms. Reed was initially cleared to play, leading to many fantasy owners keeping him in their starting lineups, before a pregame headache forced the rookie to miss the game. Fantasy owners should watch this situation closely; if Reed is still having symptoms as the week moves along, they will need to make alternate plans for a starting tight end. Owners should have a backup plan in place for this week. Perhaps most importantly, Kansas City allows the fewest points to fantasy TEs. Unless Reed appears good to-go by mid-week, the overall trust with this play won't be that great.
