Week 16: Game Time Decisions - Injury Updates
We let you know the playing chances of the big name players who are injured. This week's picks include Profiled players include Aaron Rodgers, Maurice Jones-Drew, Adrian Peterson, Victor Cruz, and Larry Fitzgerald.
Welker suffered a concussion in week 14 and is expected to miss his second straight game after he was held out of Thursday's practice. Andre Caldwell surprised the fantasy world by hauling in two touchdowns during the Broncos' week 15 loss to San Diego and is likely to get the start in the slot again this week when Denver travels to Houston. The Texans defense has been stout against the pass, allowing the fourth fewest fantasy PPG to wide receivers. With so many weapons in the Denver passing game (Demaryius Thomas, Eric Decker, Julius Thomas), it is difficult to expect another productive day from the fourth option in the passing game but he could be worth a flier with Peyton under center.
The rookie from Baylor is battling a hamstring injury that kept him out of Thursday's practice. He is not expected to play in week 16 when Dallas travels to face a floundering Washington defense. Miles Austin will see more playing time, but has just six catches for 89 yards with no touchdowns in four games since returning from his latest hamstring injury. Cole Beasley might have a better chance of taking advantage of a mediocre Redskins defense allowing the 15th most fantasy PPG to wide receivers.
