Week 7: Player Upgrades
A little redemption for the NFL's most controversial figure this past Sunday. Cooper broke out for 120 yards receiving and a touchdown in his most prolific outing since attending a certain Kenny Chesney concert this summer. Cooper still has to prove himself as he only has 12 receptions this year, but yesterday displayed his ability as a downfield threat in a vertical-minded Chip Kelly offense. Next week's shootout against Dallas makes him a possible start in some fantasy leagues.
In the coming weeks, the Vikings face a string of teams who give up major points to opposing tight ends. Minnesota gets the Giants (5th most points to TEs), Packers (9th), Cowboys (3rd) and Redskins (12th). That paves the way for Rudolph, who is coming off his best game of the season. Rudolph almost equaled his entire season output by catching nine balls for 97 yards and the Vikings' lone touchdown against the Panthers. Re-insert him into your lineup and expect a turnaround to what has been a completely disappointing season for what was one of the higher rated tight ends coming into the year.
