A quick refresher on what a Secret Star is:

The Secret Stars weekly article isn't suggesting the lineup you should use this week, rather its purpose is to identify players who represent extreme value at their current salaries for the week. Selecting one or two of these players at their discounted prices, will give you an opportunity to use high priced guys such players as Calvin Johnson and Rob Gronkowski in your lineup. Here are this week's Secret Stars:

QB – Joe Flacco - $7,000 vs MIN – STEAL! At QB17 you're stealing your QB this week. He has a matchup dream against the team that allows the most points to quarterbacks in the league. He's at home in a big game for the Ravens. Don't look now, but the Ravens are back in the hunt for that 6th playoff spot. Could Flacco and company get hot at the right time for fantasy owners? It starts now. Jared Allen has just six sacks on the season. Plus, on the offensive side of things, Dennis Pitta looks like he might make his debut this week. We'll know more today. Also considered Jay Cutler $5,000 vs DAL IF he plays.

RB – Montee Ball - $4,900 vs TEN – While Moreno is clearly still the lead back of the Broncos, there's plenty to go around and very likely this game ends up a laugher. When Peyton gets things going and gets out to a lead, there's no reason to put your lead back Moreno at risk when Ball has proven he can get things done. They will not work Moreno as hard as they have. Tennessee allows the 4th most fantasy points to running backs even though they were somewhat successful against the Colts last weekend, they've been bad having surrendered a league high 15 scores to RBs this season. Ball looks like a closer to me and I'll take him as a value back if I'm cherry picking top players in the rest of my lineup. Also considered Ryan Mathews at $5,100 vs NYG.

WR – Nate Washington - $3,700 vs DEN – We usually think Kendall Wright when we think TEN WRs, but Washington has been leading the way in snaps each of the last two weeks. The Titans have a great matchup against the Broncos this week. Who doesn't think that the Titans will be forced to throw in the second half, raise your hand? No takers? Good. Take Nate Washington and lock 15 points in the bag this week. Also considered Andre Holmes at $3,600 vs NYJ and Nate Burleson $4,800 @ PHI

TE – Jared Cook - $3,800 @ ARI – It's finally time to return Jared Cook to your lineup. Six targets for 49 yards against the Niners, led the Rams last week. With Bradford under center, Cook dominated the Cardinals with 7 receptions for 141 yards and 2 touchdowns. Eagles Zach Ertz and Brent Celek scored 3 touchdowns against Arizona in Week 13. The tight end production is written in stone against Arizona this year. Also considered Brandon Myers @ $3,800 @ SD.

DST – Jets - $2,400 vs OAK – I actually considered both the Jets AND the Raiders this week, but decided on the home team against the Raders whose strength of late has been controlling the ground game with Rashad Jennings. That won't continue against the Jets whose one thing they have going for them is their league best running back defense which allows a measley 12 fantasy points per game to the position. Couple that with injuries to Denarius Moore and Terrell Pryor, the Jets should have a good fantasy day on defense.

Now our Week 14 Contest is limited to 150 teams. It's only $10 to play. We're giving away $1,500 and a shot at the Million. This is more than a 100% payout so you're limited to just 2 entries. You won't find better entertainment value for your $ than this game. I promise you that.

Let's punch our ticket this week!
