Week 11: Sit 'EmWeek 11 Sit'ems: This week I have the three R's -- quarterbacks Rivers, Romo and Ryan on my sit'em list, along with two running backs and three receivers. Philip Rivers and his offense will take on the sliding Denver defense. I suspect that Denver will be up for the challenge this week and looking to take back control of the West. Romo has not impressed me lately and he faces the Washington defense that held Denver and was looking solid in general in Week 10. Matt Ryan will be up against a stout New York defense looking to stop a four game losing streak. Ryan is surely without Michael Turner who suffered a high ankle sprain and will have back-ups in the running game. My other projections are that Joseph Addai will get stuffed by the Baltimore defense this week, Pierre Thomas will see Reggie Bush take control again this week, Miles Austin will suffer the consequences of an inaccurate Romo and better coverage, Anquan Boldin will not have production like we saw in Week 10 and Baltimore will utilize Ray Rice to breakdown Indianapolis, not Flacco and the air attack. Good luck this week and weigh your options carefully. Those players who look good on paper and have hot streaks are not always your second half of the the season stars. QB Philip Rivers, SDThe lead in the AFC West is up for grabs this week. Denver and San Diego are both 6-3. Philip Rivers will be looking to better his one touchdown, one fumble loss performance against Denver in Week 6. Denver's defense has proven solid and will test Rivers and his ability to get off accurate passes. The passing game may also be limited if LT's performance continues to progress. Rivers has been averaging 22 fantasy points per week and is hard to sit, but this week he will post closer to 15 points and you might get better production elsewhere. QB Tony Romo, DALTony Romo's one touchdown, one interception performances over the past two weeks have not been impressive. Dallas needs to step up their game. Washington stepped up and beat Denver last week and scored the most points they have in a single game this season. Look for Washington to ride this high into their match-up with Dallas this week. Romo has been averaging over 20 fantasy points per week, but with the Washington defense out to show their value he will be under pressure. Look for his production to be down again this week. QB Matt Ryan, ATLMatt Ryan faces a New York team that will be trying to stop their four game losing streak and will likely do so without his star running back. Michael Turner's high ankle sprain should keep him inactive for a week or two in my opinion (Reports have said up to six weeks out). The match-up this week is not great. New York's pass defense is stout and without their normal running game, Ryan will be forced to pass more often; this means interceptions. Ryan's accuracy has not been consistent this season as he has nearly as many interceptions as touchdowns. Ryan will have his chances, but I foresee the New York defense being all over him this week. Put your money somewhere else. RB Joseph Addai, INDIndianapolis sure did impress last week with their stretch win against New England. Joseph Addai's two touchdowns, -- one rushing and one receiving -- were integral in the win. Addai is averaging nearly 15 fantasy points per game, but faces a stout Baltimore defense this week. The Indianapolis offensive line needs to step up their game for Addai to stand a chance against the Baltimore front. Look for Manning to take control of this game through the air and Addai to have a less than average outing, maybe 10-12 fantasy points. I do not expect the finger injury that sidelined Addai for a short period of time last week to play a factor in Week 11. RB Pierre Thomas, NOLast week Reggie Bush gained the yardage and scored the rushing touchdowns, while Pierre Thomas rushed for only 37 yards and caught one reception. Thomas has not impressed me this season. I guess I expected to see more out of him in terms of yardage and touchdowns. Thomas has been averaging 12 fantasy points per week. His production will likely be down this week. New Orleans has lost three of their last four games in Tampa Bay and with Drew Brees' affinity for fumbles and interceptions lately, the offense could suffer. Look for Bush to be integral again this week and for Thomas to see decreased action.
