St. Louis Rams are reportedly favorites to land Michael Vick

On Tuesday, a source close to the Philadelphia Eagles said that Michael Vick @MikeVick would remain with the team in 2010. Since he's basically a third-string quarterback and is due more than $5 million for next season by March 5, everyone pretty much figured that was posturing. So which team will Vick play for next season? According to the NFL Network's Jason La Canfora, the St. Louis Rams are the best bet. On Wednesday, La Canfora said that the Rams are "definitely" the front-runners to land Vick. Last week, La Canfora said that the other teams in the hunt for Vick include the Bills, Panthers, Raiders and Jaguars.

Fantasy Analysis:

Apparently this makes some sense because the Rams' general manager was in Atlanta with Vick and a couple of St. Louis coaches have a good relationship with Andy Reid. But this is just the start to the Vick rumors. We'll hear many more before March 5. But look at those potential suitors. If Vick was to end up on one of those teams, is there much reason to be excited for his fantasy potential? The Panthers are probably the best offense that he can join -- with two great running backs and a tremendous receiver in Steve Smith -- but from what we saw out of Vick this past season, it's pretty clear that he will never be the top-10 QB that he fancies himself to be.
