Brady Quinn traded to Broncos for Peyton Hillis, draft picks
Remember how far Brady Quinn fell in the 2007 NFL draft? He was deemed a steal for the Cleveland Browns; A boy from Ohio as the Browns' quarterback of the future. Everything looked perfect, but his career never really got off the ground and now he'll be looking for a fresh start in Denver. The Broncos acquired Quinn on Sunday in exchange for running back Peyton Hillis, a sixth-round draft pick in 2011 and a conditional draft pick in 2012. Quinn became expendable after Cleveland added Seneca Wallace and Jake Delhomme this past week. "I appreciate everything Brady did for us last year and in his three seasons with the Cleveland Browns," Browns head coach Eric Mangini said in a Sunday statement. "He is professional in the way he goes about doing his job and worked extremely hard at every aspect of his game. I wish him the best of success in Denver."
Fantasy Analysis:
Reportedly, Quinn will get the opportunity to start for the Broncos. Kyle Orton is a restricted free agent, but Quinn would really have to impress considering how well Orton played for most of last season (and considering that Quinn has done nothing of significance during three seasons). Hillis is just a fullback who will be forgotten in Cleveland. There is more actual NFL value in this trade than fantasy.
