HOU Owen Daniels hopes to practice by next week

Houston Texans tight end Owen Daniels @owendaniels may be able to return to practice after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) last season. Daniels is set to undergo a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) exam next Tuesday and then meet with Dr. James Andrews the following day. "I'm starting to feel like I'm back to normal again," Daniels told the Houston Chronicle. "It's a five-minute visit, but he wants to see me to make sure everything looks good,' Daniels said. "Getting past the mental block of forgetting about the route I was running when I heard it pop has been the hardest part. It was really spooky at first, but I'm just about ready to go."

Fantasy Analysis:

Despite the knee injury, Daniels is expected to have another great season. Based on some ADP's (roughly 7th and 8th rounds), Owens is being drafted like a tight end without risk. And I think that's great. The man did tie his career high in touchdowns in only eight games last year. My only recommendation when drafting Daniels is grabbing a second tight end in your draft. I personally am against drafting two tight ends this year because tight ends are so deep, but the way Daniels is talking about his knee makes me wonder about his confidence in it. If you want to be on the safe side, grab another tight end in the later rounds, but not too late.
