Fantasy darling Peyton Hillis
missed practice Friday. This came after he was limited Thursday due to a thigh injury. That would be seen as a setback everywhere else, but Cleveland Browns head coach Eric Mangini is not worried. He said Hillis was just getting was some extra rest and is still expected to play Sunday versus the Atlanta Falcons.
Quarterback Jake Delhomme could also suit up Sunday, but that possibility is a little more shaky. Delhomme, who has missed the passed three games due to a high ankle sprain, has been limited in practice all week. Mangini said he will wait to make a decision on Delhomme until after a Saturday practice.
"He's much further ahead than where we were last week," Mangini said of Delhomme. "He'll get a little more work today. In my mind it comes down to how he feels tomorrow."
Both players have been listed as questionable to play.
Fantasy Analysis:
Of course, Seneca Wallace would get another start if Delhomme is out. Either way, you're staying away. I trust Eric Mangini is telling the truth about Hillis and not trying to downplay a more serious injury. You never know with him. Atlanta's run defense is fairly stout. It held Frank Gore to just 77 yards on 21 carries last week. But with how Hillis has played in the past few weeks, he's nearing must-start territory.
