The Denver Broncos ran the ball 55 times on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. With Tim Tebow at quarterback, the Broncos have turned into a run-first, run-second and then run-third team. But during yesterday's game, they lost a key weapon for the rest of the season. Head coach John Fox announced Monday that Knowshon Moreno 
suffered a torn ACL in the game and will be placed on season-ending injured reserve. The injury occurred in the second quarter.

In related news, Fox said Willis McGahee remains day-to-day because of a hamstring injury that he suffered in the first quarter. The Broncos play just three days from now, so don't expect him to be available against the New York Jets. It's just one more reason to go pick up Lance Ball . He's a big back who won't break off a lot of big gains, but he got 30 carries yesterday, so the team obviously has no worries about putting the ball in his hands. Fox also said he will "make a move," probably insinuating that a running back will be added to this thinned-out stable very soon. Moreno may not be ready to play at the start of the 2012 season.
