Rest is at the center of Sunday's game between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions. The Packers will probably be resting their stud players for most or all of the afternoon. However, it looks like Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson
got his extended rest in during the practice week so that he'll be full-go this weekend. Johnson missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday due to an Achilles injury. But he returned to the field Friday and is listed as probable on the injury report.
Fantasy Analysis:
The Lions don't have a whole lot to gain in week 17 -- they will either be the No. 5 or No. 6 seed in the playoffs no matter what happens. But there's no doubt that this game means something to head coach Jim Schwartz. He wants to get to 11 wins. He wants to beat the Packers in Lambeau. It doesn't matter who's in that opposing helmet; that "G" on the helmet means something to the Lions. So I think you'll see a lot of Calvin on Sunday matched up against second-string corners and safeties. So, uh, start him.
