WR Roddy White expects less targets, says Falcons will throw more in 2012

From 2009 through 2011, Roddy White
ranked second, first and first, respectively, among all NFL wide receivers in targets. He said Monday that he expects new offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter to employ more five-receiver sets. That would certainly mean more passes for Matt Ryan
and Co. But White doesn't think that such a large percentage of them will be headed his way.
"I know that sounds crazy, but we've got other guys out there that can play," White said. "Julio [Jones] is going to be a big part of the offense this year. Harry [Douglas] is going to do wonders in the slot. We have to maximize our talent and get the ball in everyone's hands."
Fantasy Analysis:
No matter what Roddy says, he's still going to be a major factor in this offense. So maybe his catches will drop from 100 to 90; he's still a WR1. Jones will be a stud as well. And for Matt Ryan, this is nothing but good news. If Koetter sticks to this plan, the biggest loser would be Michael Turner, as the Falcons seemed poised to move more and more away from him and a power running game.
