Bengals RB Bernard Scott expects 'even' split with BenJarvus Green-Ellis

Cincinnati Bengals running back Bernard Scott set a career-high in carries last season with a modest 112. With long-time mainstay Cedric Benson out and BenJarvus Green-Ellis @TheLawFirmBJGE in, Scott hopes he can up that total this season. How much so is something he doesn't know.
"I think me and BenJarvus are going to be ready to handle how many carries they want to give us," Scott told the Cincinnati Enquirer on Wednesday. "I think it will be pretty even, but you never know."

Fantasy Analysis:

The Bengals won't depend on BJG-E as much as they did with Benson, but they just aren't going to give Scott a chance to be an every-down back; that's not how they view him. Green-Ellis and Scott will probably split the early-down work with Scott playing often on third downs and Green-Ellis coming in for short-yardage and goal-line situations. Scott has more upside, but Green-Ellis will probably be the more productive RB. Regardless, I'm not looking forward to investing in either runner.
Man, that's a lot of hyphens.

I was really high on BJGE, but after reading this I'd agree that I WON'T INVEST IN EITHER!!!

Of course Bernard Scott thinks he's gonna have a good season, it's that time of year he always gets hype now then doesn't get any carries during the season. If he gets 112 again I'll be surprised.

@Supercbeer

You're argument is understandable. For each of the last three years, all the Bengals have told us about Scott is that they really want to use him more, they didn't use him enough last season, he can be a difference-maker, etc. And then they don't use him.
But unlike with Benson, there's no reason why Bengals coaches need to give BJG-E the heavy majority. They have very little invested in him. He hasn't done anything in Cincy to deserve that kind of respect. Benson got by on past successes. BJG-E is a veteran, but the Bengals owe him nothing. So I think you'll see Scott's words of an even split ring true. Now does that mean he's going to get more than 150-160 carries? Probably not, and so he's still not a very attractive fantasy option. But I think he'll definitely get more work than in years past and have his best season.
