A Lisfranc injury to Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub
's foot prematurely ended his 2011 season in mid-November. Since that time, it's been a long recovery for Schaub but he is expected to be ready to practice during Houston's training camp in late July. Head athletic trainer Geoff Kaplan told reporters, "I think we all expect Matt to be out there the first day of training camp without any issues."
Fantasy Analysis:
Schaub has been a bit under the radar this offseason. Figuring out where he fits into this season's quarterback crop is tricky. Schaub could end up your QB2 and has the potential to be a great value pick towards the middle of your draft. On the other hand, injuries are what slowed Schaub's career early on with Houston. In his five seasons with the Texans, he's only played all 16 games twice. If you draft Schaub, you have to consider the downside that he may be injured again.
