Bills HC Chan Gailey on RB timeshare: 'We will not make everybody happy'

Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson @Fred22Jackson was near the league's top in yards from scrimmage, yards per carry average, and rushing yards per game before breaking his leg in week 11 last season. C.J. Spiller @CJSPILLER replaced him, and scored five touchdowns in the final six games. Both of them are back and healthy for 2012, and head coach Chan Gailey knows he has a pretty nice problem. But he's not out to make any friends; he only cares about victories.
"I can promise you this, we will not make everybody happy," Gailey said. "That will not happen this year. The only thing that will make everybody happy is winning. That's what the goal is, to come up with plans that incorporate everybody's abilities that allow us to win. Other than that, I can't predict what's going to happen as far as percentages for their touches."

Fantasy Analysis:

A near-even carry split has been expected all along with these two. Jackson is slotted at No. 17 in FFToolbox's running back rankings. Spiller is No. 31. Jackson is being selected about 20 picks ahead of Spiller on average in mock drafts. Given that Spiller is seven years younger and isn't coming back from a cracked fibula, I'd much rather have him than the 31-year-old Jackson. The value for a man with Spiller's talents is immense.
