If Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson
wants to rebound from a disappointing 2011 season, he may have to do it with fewer carries. And Johnson knows this as he is on the record as saying that the Titans' offensive philosophy has changed.
"We were more of a smash-mouth team when I got here," Johnson told the Tennessean. "And now it is more of a passing offense. ... Still, I expect to have a big role."
Fantasy Analysis:
While Johnson may not carry the ball as much, it's not like he's Michael Turner. Johnson has posted at least 40 receptions in each of his first four NFL seasons, setting a career high with 57 receptions last season. So if the Titans do throw it a little more, I'm sure they won't forget about CJ ... SomethingK. He's currently the fifth running back off the board, according to FFToolbox's ADP chart and is being selected at No. 10 overall on average. That's about right to me. While the days of 2,000 rushing yards are long gone for Johnson, I expect an improved offensive line and Johnson's own increased dedication to the game to play a major part in a bounce-back season.
