Another receiver is ready to join the Detroit Lions' stacked wide receiving corps. Ryan Broyles was taken off the active/PUP list Sunday. The rookie out of Oklahoma fell to the second round of the 2012 draft after tearing an ACL in November. By activating him, Broyles is no longer eligible for the regular-season PUP list, meaning he should be ready to contribute in week one.
OK, so this season is probably going to be a forgotten one for Broyles. Nate Burleson , barring injury, will hold on to his role in the slot for at least this year. But past that, I think the quicker Broyles has a strong opportunity to show up on all PPR radars and some rosters in deep standard leagues. He holds the NCAA record for most receptions in a career, and considering how much the Lions chuck it with Calvin Johnson and Titus Young outside the numbers, Broyles could see a lot of open spaces down the seams for years to come. He's definitely a target in keeper and dynasty leagues right now.
