The Dallas Cowboys began training camp Monday, one of the latest start dates in the NFL. Running back Felix Jones
didn't use the extra time to get into football shape. Jones was one of three players -- and certainly the most prominent -- to fail Dallas' conditioning test, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. Jones and the other flunkers will have to work out with team strength coaches during practices until they can pass the test.
Fantasy Analysis:
OK, so Jones was recovering from shoulder surgery, so I shouldn't crush him. Still, this can't be seen as a positive. FFToolbox has ranked Jones No. 46 among RBs. And really, he's only that high because of the sizeable injury risk that lies with DeMarco Murray
. If Jones was playing behind a more sturdy runner, he'd be further down that list.
