Ravens RB Bernard Pierce injures hamstring

Baltimore Ravens running back Bernard Pierce @BPierce_30 injured his hamstring early in training camp.

Fantasy Analysis:

This is news to monitor as Pierce is considered the primary handcuff to fellow Raven Ray Rice @RayRice27. Pierce also missed minicamp due to a hamstring issue so he may be a little slow in coming back. It may take quite a while before Pierce has a grasp of the playbook and the speed of the NFL. The rookie was drafted in the 3rd round out of Temple and the Ravens thought he would be a good replacement for the retired Ricky Williams. Last season Williams had 108 rushes for 444 yards and 2 touchdowns and caught 12 passes for 83 yards. Pierce was ahead of Anthony Allen @Ant_Allen on the depth chart because the Ravens liked his superior speed and vision. Ray Rice draftees will want to pay close attention to this and plan accordingly.
