In just his second year in the NFL -- and his third year playing football since the start of high school -- New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham
caught 99 passes for 1,310 yards and 11 touchdowns. A success by any measure. But again, Graham knows he is relatively green to football. He told the team's official web site that he can be even greater.
"For me, whenever I look back to last year and I watch those plays, I see the San Francisco game, I see the Lions game, I only see missed opportunities," Graham said. "I think I had a lot of missed opportunities out there, a lot of balls that I could have gotten to, a lot of routes that I should have been more disciplined on or things I should have done better."
Fantasy Analysis:
It's certainly possible that Graham tops his 2011 stats. The Saints lost Robert Meachem and didn't replace him with any proven talent. Devery Henderson is off to a slow start in camp. This just means Graham should be Drew Brees' first or second look more often this year. Graham has more upside than Rob Gronkowski. I probably won't get either guy on my fantasy team because I subscribe to waiting on tight ends. But I can see why Graham and Gronk are gone by the end on the second round.
