Jaguars, WR Justin Blackmon finally agree to terms

The last unsigned first-round rookie is no longer unsigned. The Jacksonville Jaguars and wide receiver Justin Blackmon @JustBlack81 agreed to a four-year deal worth about $18.5 million on Monday, according to the Florida Times-Union. The team broke the news on its official Twitter feed and wrote that Blackmon will sign on the dotted lines either tonight or tomorrow. He'll report Tuesday after missing the first 11 days of Jaguars training camp. According to Vito Stellino of the Times-Union, Blackmon won't be able to put on pads until his fourth day, so he will definitely miss the team's first preseason game versus the New York Giants on Friday night.

Fantasy Analysis:

With Laurent Robinson @LaurentRobinson disappointing coaches early on in camp, Blackmon should ascend the Jaguars' WR depth chart rather quickly. But the loss of practice time and learning will be a detriment that might take weeks or perhaps months for the rookie to overcome. The ability of quarterback Blaine Gabbert @BlaineGabbert to connect with him consistently is another issue. FFToolbox has ranked Blackmon as the No. 32 WR, putting him clearly in WR3 range. But it's going to be a really bumpy ride for him in his debut season.
