Free agent wide receiver Terrell Owens, now at age 39, participated in a workout with the Seattle Seahawks. He ran a sub-4.5 40-yard dash and ESPN is reporting that the Seahawks will attempt to sign him. Owens hasn't played since the 2010 season when he put up 72 receptions for 983 yards and nine touchdowns with the Cincinnati Bengals. It's possible that multiple teams could be interested in adding Owens.
Fantasy Analysis:
Owens hadn't made any news recently other than some public spats over child support payments. All personality quirks aside, Owens was still a viable receiver with the Bengals. Should Owens find his way into a starting role with any team, he is likely nothing more than a bye week fill-in or a bench player in a deeper league. For posterity's sake, don't forget that Owens is, statistically, one of the best receivers of all time. Fantasy football is a numbers game and Owens' abrasive ways should not affect your opinion of him.
