Steelers GM Kevin Colbert would be "surprised" if Rashard Mendenhall
does not miss the first 6 games of the season on the PUP list.
Fantasy Analysis:
This has been rumored all offseason as Rashard Mendenhall injured his ACL late in the season last year. RB Isaac Redman
started the last regular season game and the playoff game in place of Mendenhall and has been running with the first team so far this year. Redman did look good in his 2 starts last year. It came as somewhat of a surprise that the Steelers did not draft a running back until the 5th round of the draft to compete with Redman. The Steelers must feel very comfortable with Isaac being the primary back for the start of the season, if not the whole season. There is no way of knowing how, or when, Mendenhall returns this year. You can move Redman up several spots in your rankings and slide Mendenhall down. At this point, Mendenhall may not even be draftable until we can hear some good things on his progress.
