Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has surpassed wide receiver Josh Cribbs
on the depth chart and the second round supplemental draft pick is now the No. 3 receiver. Receivers Greg Little
and Mohamed Massaquoi
are presently the starters but the quick ascension of Gordon is notable since Cribbs has been with the team for eight seasons.
Fantasy Analysis:
Truth be told, Cribbs isn't a natural receiver and supplanting him on the depth chart isn't that big of a deal. What is notable about this is that it fully illustrates how little the Browns have at the position. Giving Gordon the opportunity is a no-brainer because of his ceiling and Cleveland would like to give him as much experience as possible in a short time. The more he plays, the better they can evaluate him and coach him up. Fantasy owners shouldn't consider him a sleeper but if he puts up decent numbers, he could become a waiver wire gem after a game or two. Don't forget about fellow rookie receiver Travis Benjamin
since he is now the team's No. 4 receiver.
