Dr. James Andrews, the Dr. Doom of sports medicine, does good work. But when an athlete walks through his doors, they usually end up getting prepped for surgery. The Cleveland Browns certainly hope that's not the end result for rookie running back Trent Richardson, who will visit Andrews on Thursday. Andrews is the doctor who performed the arthroscopic surgery on Richardson's left knee in February. Richardson has been nursing some pain in that knee lately, and Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer confirms that there is some evident swelling in the knee.
Fantasy Analysis:
Cabot also tweeted that she "guesses" Richardson will have to undergo another scope to clean out any problems in that knee. A scope would probably put wipe out the entire preseason for Richardson and make him iffy for week one. Clevelanders and fantasy football fans can start wringing their hands now. We should have another update on Richardson tomorrow. Until then, know that Montario Hardesty
is the Browns' clear-cut No. 2 RB.
