Browns RB Trent Richardson to have second scope on knee

Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson is tentatively set to have a 2nd knee scope on Thursday.

Fantasy Analysis:

This 2nd scope procedure is to clean up loose particles of cartildge. You can now expect Trent Richardson to miss all of the preseason games. This will be his second procedure in 6 months and will put a big "caution" tag on Richardson on draft day. All signals point to the running back suffering a setback in his recovery. With this latest news, you can now drop Richardson from late first/early second round pick to the 3rd or 4th round. When Trent can come back, you can expect a smaller work load at first to help get everything back up to full strength. The Cleveland Browns as a whole have to be reeling from all the injuries throughout the team and with the new ownership. How will this team handle everything?? Don't count on to much to start the year, it could get very tough.

And the pressure to get a stud running back early -- or rather, land a draft spot where you're lucky enough to get a stud running back early -- intensifies.

This possibly gives me a reason 2 take Doug Martin, who I prefer anyways, with the 1st pick in a 12 team PPR, 6 Keeper league. I know Richardson is the more "talented" RB. However, I feel like he plays in a much tougher division. Plus, I reside in Tampa, Fl. Huge Bucs fan. I've wanted 2 take Martin all along, but have hesitated due 2 potential ridicule.

Brian you are exactly right!! So many question marks, so little certainty. I do like Martin also Mbizzle. Blount is on top now, but I don't think it lasts. Good luck this year and thanks for reading!!

I'm sorry but Trent will not be the next A.P.I like the articles!

I agree that Martin ranks higher as a Fantasy pick. I think he will have a heavy work load and I think he can handle it. When a back starts off like Trent is I drop him lower than most will. The season is almost starting and he is off and on like a pair of prostitute panties. And over in Tampa Doug will be getting the rock shoved at him on a regular basis. Higher talent is worth very little if not between the goal posts.

You might be right weazel18. I was just repeating what experts were comparing him to. kb, it looks like Blount really played well in the first preseason game. It may be a while before he takes over as starter. Thank you both for reading and good luck this year!!
