In recent years, we've seen plenty of quarterbacks suffer lengthy injuries when a hand met someone's else helmet durng a follow-through. Fortunately for Eagles QB Michael Vick
, such a meeting Thursday night left him with just a thumb contusion on his throwing hand. Vick came out of the game following the second-quarter incident and went for X-rays, which came back negative. Head coach Andy Reid said after the game that he expects Vick to be "fine." Vick said that while he did lose feeling in the digit for about 30 minutes, he was able to grip a football by the end of the game.
"I should be able to get back to practice on Saturday," Vick said.
Fantasy Analysis:
A scare made scarier because of the player involved. Vick will always carry a big red flag because of his injury history, and I am likely to still shy away from him in my draft. If he can just stay healthy .... But there's no denying that when you consider where Vick was slotted in fantasy drafts at this time last year (early first round), his current FFToolbox ADP of 45.99 makes him quite a value if he can answer that one huge "If."
