It's been assumed for awhile now, but recently Tampa Bay Bucs head coach Greg Schiano told reporters that rookie running back Doug Martin
will be the team's starter. This is Schiano's first year in the NFL after his tenure at Rutgers and it's been well-documented that he plans on relying on the running game. LeGarrette Blount
isn't totally out of the picture and is still likely to see some touches every week.
Fantasy Analysis:
Blount may be listed as the No. 1 back on the official depth chart but Schiano has admitted the plan is to start Martin. The rookie is part of a new class of Boise State players that will look to make a name for themselves in the coming years. Titus Young, Shea McClellin, George Iloka and Martin are all big talents. Even though he's only 5'9", Martin is a stout back who can stand up to the punishment and he'll need to for this Tampa offense to rebound from a difficult 2011 season.
