UPDATE: Dolphins QB David Garrard has suffered 'mysterious' knee injury

Update: NFL insider Jay Glazer spoke to Garrard earlier today, and Garrard told him that he will get his knee scoped tomorrow. Per Garrard, doctors have told him that he will be out of action for 2-4 weeks.
"Nothing happened," Garrard told Glazer. "Just Father Time, wear and tear. They have to take out loose things floating around."

Mere hours before the Miami Dolphins' first preseason game, ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that expected starting quarterback, David Garrard @davidgarrard9, has suffered a knee injury that will prevent him from playing. Schefter tweeted that some members of the team still don't know about the injury and categorized its current status as "mysterious."

Fantasy Analysis:

Update: So, Garrard definitely won't be the team's starting quarterback in Week 1. Given that he is no great shakes over Moore, and Tannehill has looked good in limited camp time, it's fair to wonder if Garrard will ever start for Miami.

The Dolphins' offense was terrible enough without any injuries to integral skill players.
We've got some conflicting reports on this issue. ESPN's Chris Mortensen is reporting that Garrard will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery soon. Meanwhile, Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times has been told by a league source Garrard actually already had knee surgery recently. Whatever the case, Matt Moore @mattmoore_8 will start in Garrard's place, and there is no timetable set for his recovery. Moore and rooke Ryan Tannehill @ryantannehill1 are the two men left standing in that QB competition. With this injury news for the 34-year-old Garrard, I expect Moore to start the season, but Tannehill will get his shot at some point.
Regardless, this team is devoid of fantasy goodness. Take a chance on Reggie Bush, sure. Outside of him, there's no one I would consider in a 12-team league. That includes Chad Johnson.
