The Minnesota Vikings are considering removing running back Adrian Peterson
from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list on Sunday. Head coach Leslie Frazier said on ESPN radio, "We'll discuss where he is and what's the next step for him this week, whether we continue to work through rehab or how we want to approach it." If removed from the PUP list, Peterson would start in Week 1 barring a setback.
Fantasy Analysis:
This is big news for Peterson as many didn't ever expect him to be able to return so quickly. My long-held position on this injury is that we're talking about one of the most dynamic, electric, powerful (you get the idea) running backs of this and many previous generations. Doubting him for any reason would be a mistake. Peterson has been getting it done since he entered the league and allowing him to fall into the second round officially becomes a mistake once he's off the PUP list.
