Finally, some news regarding an injured Philadelphia Eagles quarterback that doesn't contain the name Vick. On the other hand, this is not good news for backup Mike Kafka
. Kafka fractured his left, non-throwing hand in Thursday's preseason game versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. His hand was damaged when a Steelers player stepped on it. Kakfa is expected to be out of live action for three weeks.
Fantasy Analysis:
Third-round rookie Nick Foles
now has his chance to run away with the No. 2 QB gig. He looked very good in Thursday's game and is currently ahead of good ol' Captain Checkdown, Trent Edwards, on the depth chart. You may not care about this competition right now, but understand that one of these guys is going to be the go-to option when/if Michael Vick
gets injured. According to history, the "when" is much more likely than the "if."
