For those forlorn owners of Jason Witten, maybe the Buffalo Bills have an option for you. According to Bills insider Joe Buscaglia, tight end Scott Chandler
has been one of the team's two MVPs during training camp.
"Easy catches, tough catches in traffic -- if doesn't matter," Buscaglia said. "Chandler has roped everything in and become one of Ryan Fitzpatrick's two favorite targets. He looks primed to have a better season than his last one."
Fantasy Analysis:
Similar sentiments were expressed during OTAs and minicamps about Chandler.
Chandler was purely a short-touchdown option for the first month of last season before fading into obscurity. He finished with 38 catches in 13 games, 389 yards and six scores -- four of which came in September. But consider the Bills' other receiving options. Outside of Steve Johnson, there's not much here. Head coach Chan Gailey has even hinted at using a rotation of guys at the No. 2 WR spot. Maybe Chandler becomes an outlet that Fitzpatrick trusts and relies on consistently. He's still well into the TE2 range, but he's a name worth watching if your starting tight end, like Witten, is felled by injury.
