Redskins RB Tim Hightower takes part in team drills

Washington Redskins running back Tim Hightower @Tim_Hightower took part in 11-on-11 drills Thursday for the first time during camp. Hightower, who is coming back from an ACL tear in October, had been limited to individual and one-on-one drills thus far.
"Tim practiced today and did a pretty good job out there," head coach Mike Shanahan told the Washington Post. "I felt really good about that. He did a lot of scout-team plays, but you can see he's making a lot of progress, and we'll get a chance to evaluate him next week."
Shanahan is optimistic that Hightower will play in the team's third preseason game, Aug. 25 versus Indianapolis.

Fantasy Analysis:

Hightower's return only muddies the waters for fantasy owners looking at the Redskins' running back situation. He was rumored during the offseason to be Shanahan's favoriite to start, but he didn't come back from his knee injury as quickly as anticipated. Now he's trailing Evan Royster @Evan_Royster and Roy Helu @royhelujr29. The former player appears to have the inside track on the starting job, and the latter is the most talented runner in the trio. Hightower has some work to do to become fantasy relevant.
