Marcedes Lewis
went from 10 touchdowns in 2010 to zero touchdowns in 2011. Granted, the Jaguars didn't score much as a team last year, but new offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski is trying to find way to get Lewis' numbers back to their previous level.
"He should be a really good red-zone target because of his size," Bratkowski said of Lewis. "He's physical and there are a lot of bodies in there and everybody gets banged around. When you've got his size, that really helps."
Fantasy Analysis:
Lewis, who reported to camp out of shape, has reportedly looked good during practices, and head coach Mike Mularkey has featured the tight end in some of his previous offenses. However, Lewis can only go as far as Blaine Gabbert takes this offense. And if he doesn't take this offense inside the red zone -- something he didn't do often last year -- then Lewis isn't going to have consistent fantasy value since his value is largely touchdown-based. Tight end is so deep this year, you don't need to worry about Lewis in your draft. If he strings together some solid totals, you'll be able to pick him up during the season. He is FFToolbox's No. 25 tight end.
