Dwayne Bowe
was never expected to hold out into the regular season and sure enough, that holdout came to an end today. The Kansas City Chiefs announced that Bowe has signed his one-year franchise tender, which is worth $9.515 million. He will need to cactch up on what he has missed over the first three weeks of training camp. That includes learning the offense of the Chiefs' first-year coordinator, Brian Daboll.
Fantasy Analysis:
Some people (i.e. me) aren't very fond of Bowe because of his bouts with inconsistency and, in a related point, the fact that Matt Cassel is his quarterback. He might start off the season rather slowly as he learns the new offense, but when he's on, Bowe can be a dominant wideout. He's No. 23 on FFToolbox's current WR rankings. We're going to have to move him up at least 5-7 spots now that his holdout has ended, and he's back in the fold.
