Packers WR Greg Jennings, TE Jermichael Finley nearing returns

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said Friday that wide receiver Greg Jennings @GregJennings "has advanced through the protocol process" and could practice as soon as Sunday. Jennings hasn't practiced or played since sustaining a concussion during a scrimmage about two weeks ago.
Tight end Jermichael Finley @JermichaelF88 has missed the team's first two preseason games due to a quad strain. But McCarthy said Finley looked good during pregame warmups Thursday night.
"He's getting better," McCarthy said of Finley. "His running and testing has picked up. He ran out on to the field before the game last night. He's getting close, that's what they tell you."

Fantasy Analysis:

It's great to hear that Jennings is progressing, because concussions can linger indefinitely. I don't know if either player will be good enough to play in the Packers' next game, Aug. 23 versus the Bengals. But it sure sounds like both of them will clearly be 100 percent by the start of the regular season. Barring a setback -- and we will let you know if one occurs -- draft Jennings and Finley as you normally would.
