Arizona Cardinals running back Beanie Wells is having problems cutting during practice. His lateral mobility being limited hurts his chances of playing in the team's next preseason game against the Tennessee Titans and could potentially keep him out in Week 1. XTRA 910 in Arizona reported Wells' issues during practice and it's possible that he won't get to play a single snap during the preseason.
Fantasy Analysis:
Not that Wells is all that nimble laterally to begin with, but this issue would severely limit his playing time and effectiveness as a runner. Second-year running back Ryan Williams
is coming back from a torn patella tendon, yet his stock has to be soaring with every practice. Comparing the two backs, Williams' greatest asset is ability to change directions without losing any speed. With Arizona's offensive line, they'll need someone who can make the first man miss. Wells, for the time being, remains the No. 1 back but things could change quickly if Williams breaks out while Wells is on the sideline.
