According to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer, the Baltimore Ravens are expecting Joe Flacco
to be "the man" in 2012.
"All eyes are on Joe Flacco," Glazer said Saturday. "... They are putting more on his plate. They want him to step up and be the man. When you talk to players and teammates, they definitely see a difference in Joe Flacco. They are giving him the reins this year, letting Joe step up and being the man."
Fantasy Analysis:
However, you shouldn't be led to believe that the Ravens are going to suddenly turn into a pass-happy offense. I'm sure the Ravens realize that they were 1-4 last regular season when Ray Rice
didn't get at least 20 touches. They were undefeated when he did. The Ravens will use more no-huddle this season, and it should be a less conservative offense. Flacco could become a very solid QB2 this year. But "the man" will continue to be Rice.
