A source close to the Seattle Seahawks told Jason LaCanfora that wide receiver Terrell Owens
is "hardly assured" of making the 53-man roster. Quarterback Matt Flynn threw five passes his way and Owens finished with zero receptions, including a drop in the end zone. Head coach Pete Carroll told reporters that it was "most understandable [since Owens had] just two weeks of practice."
Fantasy Analysis:
The main reason Owens should be concerned is simply because the Seahawks have a ton of wide receivers all vying for a handful of spots. Sidney Rice
, Doug Baldwin, Golden Tate
, Ben Obomanu
, Deon Butler, Kris Durham
, Braylon Edwards and more are all looking to make this final roster. Since Owens can't contribute to special teams, he's a one-trick pony when the 'Hawks might need some versatility.
