There will be plenty of news written in the coming weeks about players losing their jobs. So here's something about a player gaining one. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers added wide receiver Jordan Shipley off of wavers Monday. Shipley, who was cut by the Cincinnati Bengals last week, hasn't played since tearing an ACL last September. He caught 52 passes for 600 yards and three touchdowns during his 2010 rookie season.
Fantasy Analysis:
Shipley will try to beat Preston Parker
in competition to be the Bucs' main man out of the slot. Shipley was a prolific wide receiver at the University of Texas and acquitted himself well as a newbie. However, even if he is fully healthy wins the No. 3 WR role, Shipley will probably have very little fantasy value in Tampa Bay's run-heavy offense. He is someone to watch during the season.
