The Seattle Times' beat writer Danny O'Neil anticipates that rookie quarterback Russell Wilson
will start in the Seattle Seahawks next preseason game. O'Neil noted there were "multiple indications" Wilson would start over Matt Flynn. Wilson has also played very well against 2nd- and 3rd-string defenses. He has completed 22-of-33 pases for 279 yards with three TDs and one INT, and another eight rushes for 92 yards and a TD.
Fantasy Analysis:
This is merely a rumor, but let's call it what it is: an educated guess. Beat writers sometimes have to create a story where there is none to an extent. Wilson probably does deserve a shot to start considering how well he's played in limited time. Flynn also hasn't exactly set the world on fire either. It's a situation to monitor. Considering Flynn's average draft position (186), this affects who to grab off the waiver wire more than anything.
